Home > Right Time for pregnancy
Being physically as well as mentally prepared is necessary part of family planning. Well planned pregnancy is crucial for the health of both the mother and the baby.
If you are planning for a child, you need to know the most effective time for intercourse. It is during the fertile window that generally lasts up to five days, every month. The initial three days lead up to ovulation and the fourth day is the day of ovulation, when woman's body releases an egg.
The egg once released will only survive for about a day, but sperm can survive for up to a week. Hence there is a five-day window for sperm to meet an egg.
The woman is most likely to conceive if intercourse took place one or two days before the ovulation. Use our Fertile Window Calculator to know the days you may be most fertile on.
